A key advantage of working with HSI is our ability to coordinate the transportation of vessels anywhere in the world. After manufacturing is complete, we go the extra mile and supervise transportation. We have established relationships with a variety of key transportation vendors, including barge, truck and rail.
Barge Transportation of Vessels
Our port assembly facility is conveniently located adjacent to the roll-on/roll offloading facility at Tulsa’s Port of Catoosa, which is crucial to HSI’s innovative maximum shop assembly (MSA) approach. The Port’s low-water wharf is capable of handling even the largest and heaviest of equipment, allowing for easy shipment, regardless of dimensions. Access to waterways additionally allows for international shipments to reach their final destinations unhindered. Truck Transportation of Vessels
Beyond barge transportation at Tulsa’s Port of Catoosa, our company provides excellent truck transportation for vessels as well. Our fleet consists of both rough terrain cranes and truck cranes. Because of these resources, our team can load equipment with a wide range of weights and dimensions. With our multi-axle, steerable 200-ton unit and other specialized trailers, we can transport in-process and completed products to Tulsa’s Port of Catoosa and beyond.
Rail Transportation of Vessels
Transportation of Large Vessels
HSI is unique in our industry due to our ability to manufacture large orders and equipment. Our capabilities include fabricating vessels that are up to 1,000,000-pounds with wall thicknesses available in sizes up to 5”. Because of our sizable products, HSI invests the time and resources needed to orchestrate the shipment of these large vessels. Ordering from our company reduces the hassle of obtaining new equipment; and since large orders are the norm at HSI, our customers benefit greatly from competitively priced shipping rates and quicker shipping timeframes.
